My name is Patti-Jo vanErven. I am one of the 4th grade Inclusion teachers. This is my 5th year at OBIS and I couldn't be more excited! I have 19 years of experience in the education field. Prior to moving to Mississippi, I served 14 years in my school district in Colorado as a primary grade Interventionist in literacy and math. After moving to Mississippi, I moved into an Inclusion position at OBIS and I could not be happier. I am so excited to work with the students at OBIS this year.
I am married and have 2 grown children. We also have 2 fur-babies in our family. I love spending time with my family, traveling, and enjoying all that life has to offer.
This year will be an amazing year at OBIS. I am excited to service Mrs. Frye's homeroom and Mrs. Schreffler's home room for both ELA and Math as the Inclusion teacher. I encourage all students to be the very best they can be, strive to be leaders in our school and community, and empower students to believe in themselves. At OBIS...Our Best is Success!
