Each student should have a math folder and math notebook. These will need to be brought to class each day along with the classwork packet that students will receive at the beginning of each week (unless otherwise indicated on the packet). We use this packet as a guide for our learning. We will also be using different materials while in class as well. Our math notebooks will have notes and our morning work for the week in them. It is very important that these things be brought to class each day. Homework will be given on Mondays and will be turned in on Fridays.

I am very excited to be joining the Olive Branch Intermediate family this year. I would like to introduce myself. My name is Cacey Casey. This will be my 15thyear teaching, but my first year here at OBIS. I have taught 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5thgrade in Tate County. My husband, Philip, and I have been married for almost eight years. We have two daughters, Iris and Violet. Iris is in kindergarten, and Violet is in pre-school. We have a dog, Chase, and a cat, Nola.

I really enjoy teaching math! I like to make math fun for everyone, and I try my absolute best to make it as easy as possible. I tell my students all the time that everyone can show growth. We do a lot of different activities in class and work together a lot. We will be having class discussions on different ways to solve the same problem. We will be using manipulatives (math tools) in class as well. My students are expected to try their best every day in class. That is all I can ask of them is their best each day.
