Hello to my future researchers and scientists and parents, I hope you all had a wonderful summer break. I would like for you to know that Cookie, our classroom bunny will be in the classroom soon and aquarium. I have been giving her lots of cuddles and her favorite snack. You know she loves to eat cilantro. I can't wait to see you and have fun in my classroom. See you soon.

Bio
I have worked in the Desoto County Schools for 19 years. This is my first year at Olive Branch Intermediate and am looking forward to teaching this school. I went to University of Mississippi and got my degree in teaching in 2012. I went to Belhaven University and received my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with Education with Technology. I have worked as a teacher assistant for nine years before that. I have worked at Horn Lake Middle for ten years teaching 6th grade science. I have two children, Brandon who is working full time at Unilab making invisiligns. I have a daughter, her name is Megan, she is in the Army Reserve, married and living in Murfreesboro. I have a wonderful husband, Dale, and we have been married for 36 years. I have a dog and her name is Gemma I also have a bunny and her name is Cookie, she will be coming to class as a pet and loves to be cuddled. My philosophy in teaching is that all my students will have a safe and fun learning environment. They will work in groups or pairs and participation in my class is the key to learning from each other's experiences. I value each and every student like my own and will treat them fairly and firmly. I also believe reading and writing is very important to our learning and expect my students to read when we are finished with work early. I will post weekly what we will be working on my website. Thank you for your support.
